Volunteer
Intervention
Working to prevent homelessness in our community, we partner with those citizens who are at a heightened risk and provide rent and utility assistance, security deposit support, seasonal clothing, and tax relief.
Outreach
Through community programs like Adopt-a-Grandparent, Adopt-a-Teen, and regularly scheduled visits to various healthcare facilities, we build enriching relationships with vulnerable members of our community.
Education
We believe that with increased knowledge our community can thrive, so we offer classes on budgeting, faith centered study, emotional support, and relationship building.
Volunteer Opportunities
Budgeting Class Teacher (Must be 21+)
Our budgeting class is offered to clients and those in our community that goes over the importance of creating and maintaining a budget. It meets every Thursday from 2-3 pm and the last Thursday of every month from 6-7 pm. Marriage and Family Counseling (Must be 21+)

Coffee Connection Helper (16+)
Wednesdays from 2-3 pm we have a Coffee Connection for clients we have helped with financial assistance. We would to have a volunteer to join us as we listen and chat with our clients and help us create a community with them. Our Homelessness Prevention Coordinator usually facilitates these meetings, but on the off chance he cannot be there, we would love to have an individual that can commit to joining these meetings each week and can fill in for him when he is unable to attend. To volunteer for this event you must be able to drive a car or have transportation to get there.
File Organization
Are you a highly organized individual with attention to detail? We would love to have individuals (16+) to assist us in the organization and cleaning of some of our filing cabinets here at The Barnabas Vision.
