David Young –  David currently serves as the teaching minister for the North Boulevard Church of Christ in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He has worked for churches in Missouri, Kansas, and Tennessee, taught New Testament at several colleges, and travelled widely teaching and preaching, leading mission trips and hosting tours to the Holy Lands and to other religious sites. David’s brings his experience in these areas as well as his longstanding involvement in the community of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County to Barnabas Vision.

Cliff Sharp – Cliff is truly a coach!  He started out as an educator and has moved in to life coaching.  His insight after serving as director of the Pregnacy Support Center here in Murfreesboro allowed him to see what a need there is to help families raise their vision.  He and his wife, Jane founded Greenhouse Ministries in 1999, seeking to make a difference to plant and cultivate hope in this community.

Joanne Coggin – Joanne has served on the board of Read to Succeed and on the advisory board of the Discovery Center.  She has served as President for the Rutherford County chapter of Associated Women for Lipscomb. Besides being a full time homemaker she is a Sunday School teacher and previously owned a Christian bookstore in Knoxville, Tennessee.  She is married to Gerald Coggin and has three sons, David, Robert and Adam and has five grandchildren. Joanne is thrilled to be involved with an organization which is committed to serving the needs of others by providing hope, comfort and necessary resources to those who are in need.  “I believe that we should serve others like Jesus served us.  I believe the Barnabas Vision will assist me in accomplishing this.”

Teb Batey – Teb and his wife Kari have four children; Paul, Houston, Kate, and Taylor. They live on the family farm in Milton. Teb serves as the Rutherford County Trustee, and has served as minister for the Milton Church of Christ since 1991. Kari teaches part time at MTCS. Teb graduated from MTCS in 1984, David Lipscomb in 1988, and received his M.B.A from MTSU in 1991.

Shane Reeves – Following graduation, Shane bought into the family pharmaceutical business, named Reeves-Sain Family of Medical Services, in Rutherford County. Shane and his partner, Rick Sain, built this small healthcare business, into a multi-million dollar enterprise reaching across the state of Tennessee. In addition to Shane’s professional endeavors, he also is highly active in his community serving as past Chairman for the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, past-president for Leadership Rutherford, past participant in Leadership Middle Tennessee and past chairman of for Tennessee’s National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) leadership council. Reeves is very proud to serve as a deacon at the North Boulevard Church of Christ. He and his wife, Amanda, live in Murfreesboro with their three children.

Matt Tiller
